Is there anyway to get rid of split ends w/out getting my hair cut???

I dont want to get my hair cut. I used to use hot oil treatments and they usually work. Can you guys recommend anything else for me?

Nothing will get rid of the split ends once you get them. All you can do is get a trim to cut them off.

However, there are lots of things you can do to help prevent them. The most important thing is to condition your hair every time you wash it. Hot oil treatments are also very very helpful.

In addition, keep away from regular blow drying, using metallic barrettes, repeatedly putting in pony tails, or brushing your hair when its wet. (just lightly brush fingers through) All these things put stress on your hair and add to breakage and split ends.

Other treatments don't actually get rid of split ends...they just cover them up for awhile. Just go in for a micro-trim. ;)

brush the ends of your hair first before you brush from the top-down of your hair.....this will make the ends even and will make your hair look better too.hope i helped

If you don't get your split ends cut then they will continue to split up the hair shaft. That means if you wait too long you will end up having to get your hair cut shorter than if you would have just cut it in the first place.

yea, use Alberto Vo5 Hairdressing in a tube or jar, slick your hair back with it at night before you go to bed and wrap a towel around your pillow to keep it from making your pillow greasy and or wear a shower cap.

In the morning wash it out.

Do that once a week or more.

That usually stops it.

This will sound crazy but it works...mash a ripe banana and put it on the ends of your hair for 20 minutes, then wash as normal. This is a temporary solution...eventually you'll have to get a trim but this treatment will help them look better. Good Luck
