Is it only tall and/or slender women that can pull off a shortish hair cut?

I have really long hair and i keep thinking how great it would be to just have it all lopped off, dye it some crazy colour and live happily ever after :)

The thing is that i am a little chunky. I'm short and a size 12-14 (UK) or 8-10 (US) so certainly curvy. I guess my face is quite rounded too.

I still want to look sexy.

Would you say that:

a) chunky people can pull off short cuts

b) if you slimmed down you could get it cut short.

c) don't get it cut short, because it only suit tall people.

d) short hair is never sexier than long hair.

e none of the above. You might be able to pull it off. Talk with your stylist and ask her how short you could go.

I have very long hair and ever since I grew it men go utterly crazy for it. I would say that most men find short hair a real turn-off. Generally you need a strong facial bone structure to really pull it off. I would say it depends entirely on the individual though, pull all your hair back off your face and see what your face looks like with no hair to frame it....

depends on the style.

One thing I recommend is using a site like the hairsyler.com and upload a photo of yourself and "try on" different cuts.

I use this every time I want to change my style. The $15/or so they charge is well worth it. You can then just print out the pics and take them to your stylist.

the association of height weight is irrelevant for the hairstyle you want, its all dependent on the shape of your face, if you are considering getting this haircut the best person/people to ask is not us in the forum but for you to go to a good salon (not one that just wants to take your money) and get accessed by a professional.

Your size sounds "just right", try some different hair styles untill your really happy with it. Cut a little at a time / remember how long it takes to grow back.

I think short hair can be really sexy. You are curvy not fat and anyway I don't think this makes any difference to whether a hairstyle would suit you or not.

I'd say go for it but keep long layers so you can dry it choppy and funky.
