if u want your highlights to look natural don't get an off the wall color like purple try like a brown color light though and it also depends on what color hair you have???

I would suggest you getting layers at the bottom of your hair, the highest layer being 1 1/2 to 2 inches above where you hair falls on your back. Not long layers this will make your hair very poofy. For the highlights, I would go with a fine weave and 2 or 3 shades lighter than your natural, just so there is contrast but not too much. But when you go and get it done tell your hair stylist that you want natural highlights and show her a picture so you are both on the same page. Good Luck
